Hi, just discovered this forum, so am hoping you could assist in helping me answer a question that has been bugging me for years..

In the early 90's I purchased a bootleg cassette of New Order demos & rarities. It was filled with the usual stuff (Video 586, Kevin Hewick's "Haystack", etc) but on it there was a track entitled "Love Dance Demo". I think it was from 1984-85 and it's certainly not Bernard Sumner on vocal duties but it sounds incredibly New Order-esque. Obviously there's a chance it wasn't New Order, but it's a great track and so I was wondering; can anybody shed any light on this? Has anybody else heard it/know its history?

Thanks!

I had this on a dodgy C15 boots computer tape thanks to the guys from the paradise fanzine who advertised it as a rare new order track; vocal track on one side and an instrumental on the other.

Going on memory but i think it was by a band called 'the bridge'

Good song though, I quite liked it.

See you some other time...
