So I own, The singles, the best of, Retro, and international. I was wondering what the rest of you feel has the best remastering job? I find the singles too be too "hot" in their mastering, so I prefer International. This could also be a really lame question, but can;t blame for trying to start conversation.

After trawling through a number of New Order related threads on the well respected Steve Hoffman Audio Site I have come to the conclusion that virtually all New Order CDs sound rubbish!
In terms of compilations "International" is the only one that comes away with any credit in terms of sound quality. "Singles" is appalling - only fit for playing in the car.
The whole New Order catalogue is in desperate need of remastering. It would be great if they could use someone like Steve Hoffman to do it. Personally I'm not that bothered about bonus material I just want the CDs to sound more like my old vinyl albums and 12" singles did back in the 80s.
