my pal can print me off any image i want onto a large canvas on a wooden frame (very proffesional like) and id like some ideas as to what no/factory type image would be good. i have been through a couple of factory/saville books and cant decide on one, the bird wants the true faith leaf but it seems a bit obvious. so any lawrence lewellyn bowens out there want to help design my living room and give it a central focus point?

It depends on what colour your furniture and curtains are etc... I would not have the standard artwork - true faith , unknown pleasures etc (everyone has these!) I would probably go for one of Peter Saville's waste paintings - which you can see on here PaulStolper
Get them specialized frames that hold LP's or 12" vinyl sleeves, and purchase factory vinyl accordingly. They are a hit in my gaff.
I've got True Faith up in my hallway, along with Electronic's classic whisky glass and ice cover for GAWI.
I went for the 'real thing' and spent a couple of weeks painting an oil on canvas of the Unknown Pleasures design. It was about 5' x 3 1/2' I think. Sold it for £250 notes in the end - never had the chance to put it up on a wall 
Never found out the 'real' name of the buyer - they used a nickname for just about everything.
If it was anyone here (UK buyer) could you let me know if it's still hanging on your wall please?
Other than that, my suggestion would be the cover of 'Closer' for a transfer to canvas. Cool black and white and wouldn't detract from most colour schemes.
I used to know a guy who would buy frames and get old copies of famous albums, mask the label and spray them with high gloss gold paint. He then mounted them in the frame, along with the appropriate picture and album title (even an autograph of the artist if he could get a legit one) and put them on the walls of his house, garage and studio. They actually looked really good...

Ha Ha , I had the Fine Time Remix sleeve on the wall and my mother-in-law enquired as to why I had 'whats looks like pills' on my wall
If it's gonna be big and in a prominent place, I would go for the PCL flowers, including colour codes of course to ensure it retains its New Order touch 
Though not NO, I really do like Saville's 'Waste' painting. That would look class on the wall.

Go for Saville's abstract Georgio De Chirico type paintings in the centre of the Thieves Like Us and Murder sleeves.Don't include the numbers that surround.
Ive recently acquired good condition copies of the 7"'s of Regret, True Faith, Fine Time and Love Will Tear Us Apart for framimg.....Ive still to get thme framed and more importantly , i've still to convince the other half that she needs them in the hall....

Mr Stephens, I concur with Round & Round, which I forgot to mention I have framed on my stairs (7").
...And may I add that I am currently having a struggle with my other arf to retain such prominant positions for these fabulous works of art when we purchase a joint love pad in the forthcoming months... If she's lucky!
