Visited Affleck's Palace at the weekend to see how the place is fairing up these days in the face of the recent takeover. I'd not been in for a good 12 months, and my other 'arf hadn't been in for years.

It still provides something unique to Manc, but I was horrified when I was looking at badges. I casually asked the trader if he had any NO badges to which he replied, "I've not had any for ages, but I think we have a couple of NO t-shirts." He passed me over to his pal who showed me the TWO remaining t-shirts they had for sale; a Movement t-shirt, and a Substance t-shirt.

I bought the Movement t-shirt for a tenner, but left feeling a tinge of sadness that for all their influence on Manc, Affelck's only had one NO t-shirt left to show for it.

Old age is creeping up on me... :(

They were the property of the former owner, who removed them. There are now 'discussions' between her and Bruntwood to get them put back up.

My glass is half full and I choose to believe that they've got none left because the kids have bought them all.
