New Order Regret on Countdown

Thats not Countdown! At least not real Countdown.
Once upon a time, there was a great great great man called Richard Whiteley. He made quick witted puns and had the most amazing ties. He hosted a gameshow about words and numbers. And it was brilliant. 430pm, Monday to Friday, Channel 4, straight after the equally superb Fifteen to One.
Then one day, he got ill, and never recovered, and sadly died. And the world of gameshows was never the same again.

Damn. Liam and I agree on something. Unless that was 'tongue in cheek' Liam...
I still have a soft spot for Daphne Fowler - twice 15 to 1 champion, now on 'Eggheads'... which reminds me, I should start up another thread...
