Yes a great film and a good Q&A too.
Gillian was sat behind us, chuckling away at Steve's answers, as we all were.
I thought it a bold move to start and end the film with a game of hangman, given the subject.
Steve was on top form, although his promise to sell us all ice creams in the interval proved to be empty.
He said he was working on something at the moment, but wouldn't say what it was. Ooh!
I liked his response to John Robb's question about how he responded to Hannett's instruction to play more yellow. "Well, I just played it more yellow".
It was really nice to get an insight into how it felt to be a part of that fascinating story. An enjoyable evening all round.
We managed to resist the temptation to go into Tangled, which was raging in the club next door!

The Barney/Ian hypnosis tape lasts for around forty minutes. They had access to it all and found it very harrowing to listen to.
The two interviews with Ian C used in the film are about the only recordings that exist, apart from a few interviews with the band.
Steve Confirmed that Ian Curtis was a City supporter although he said that "it's like our feelings, we don't like to talk about it" (a reference to an earlier comment that Young Northern Men don't like to discuss their feelings).
