OK.. to clarify this. As a massive fan of electronic music, I was disappointed that the Chems offered a song considerably weaker than 90% of their own output. The New Order contribution sounds tacked on, again poor in its own right. Basically, its two top acts coming together and sounding weaker than if either was on their own. Chart position said it all, it went straight in the top twenty and dive bombed, with hardly any radio play, whereas Crystal got loads. I can also imagine it sounding awful live too, which might be why they never played it.
I would say the opposite about 'Out of Control' though.
Think this topic has been covered before though. It's clearly a marmite track, more loved in USA than here, perhaps cos techno wasnt as big over there.
