Autobahn - just lie on your back with your speakers either side of your head and picture the car driving over you in the opening sequence.

1990's 'The Mix' was a cracking album. Get the EQ spot-on with a decent meaty full-on bass and piercing treble running through and pipe it up so your neighbour will think a fucking bombs gone off next door. I know it was a re-mix album, but sounded like they really had spent some time making it better than the originals that they'd rattled out on an old typewriter.
You could get stoned like Jarvo's suggestion, alternatively, Morrisons 'Salsa' corn chips have to be tasted to be believed... blew my tongue through my teeth!!! - couple that with Radioactivity (which presumably is in the air for us all) and you have one hell of a party.
Sex is always good as well.
Actually, thinking back, for all the 98 gigs Kraftwerk's "Spacelab" always appeared on the PA before the Order came on (although with Bowie's Warsawza, and something by Georgio Moroder).
I remember at Brixton for that AIDS benefit they did that they played the whole of Electric Cafe before coming on..that Musique Non Stop was a cracker.
Did anyone see Kraftwerk on 'the Mix' tour about 10 years ago? The Rolling Stones of electronica !
I have the ELECTRONIC Forbidden City single with some other b-sides featuring Karl Bartos - from Kraftwerk. If any of you guys have heard it - Imitation of life - is a great B-Side. You can hear some Kraftwerk qualities in that song. I suggest it and give it a 10.

I was due to see them at Brixton but was cutting it fine cos I flew back into Luton airport from Spain that day, but there was problems with the plane so we circled Luton for about 2hrs, then diverted to Gatwick. Didn't make it back into London till around 10pm, so missed my mates. They'd sold my ticket anyways.
Saw them at Tribal Gathering about 3/4 years ago. Amazed at the number of Germans who'd travelled for this one, all bedecked in cycling regalia!!! (And at that gig I found myself positioned in the immediate vicinity of Paddy The Vet from Emmerdale and the older Hartnoll brother - although I must point out the two weren't actually together).
Did they bring the Robots on in the encore? It was a brilliant gig (at the Hummingbird in Brum) with an audience combination of young ravers and old timers in their 40's.

I was at that one - don't know if I'dve qualified as a young raver though nor a forty year old! Somewhere inbetween...
If I remember correctly, it wasn't very loud and people were shouting 'Turn it up!'
Deelite played at the same place either the night before or the night after the Kraftwerk gig.

Remember that song about a model. I thought that song sounded more CASIO than ever. Very unique and way off into the underground. Truly a KRAFTWERK classic.
"The mix" tour was a blast. I think the concert in Lyon was one of the best ones ive ever seen in my life. They had those 4 robot figures behind them which started moving while they were playing "The Robots". And I remember they let some people from the audience play on small keyboards on "Computer Love". pretty cool. Anyway my favourite kraftwerk tracks are The Model Computer Love the Robots Radioactivity and ... Tour de France...

Wasn't it rather POCKET CALCULATOR on which they let people from the audience PRESS A LITTLE KEY TO PLAY A LITTLE MELODY ?
In any case, that tour made me very upset because I gad my tickets in hand and learned that it was cancelled THE SAME NIGHT in front of the venue... Kraftwerk just cancelled the rest of their Tour and that announced their split! Karl Bartos and Wolfgang Flur, pissed off, left the band.
My favorite Kraftwerk songs are The Model, Showroom Dummies, Computer Love, Radioactivity (both versions) and The Telephone Call I guess.

That makes me think of the following: anyone ever got their hands on the "Esperanto" album by Elektric Music? That was Karl Bartos' project. I thought it was very good at the time, and even now, I like it a lot, still. It's the album I wish Kraftwerk would have done instead of pushing buttons endlessly in their Kling Klang studios for years for only coming up with Expo 2000.
I know they've been on tour recently and that they were also on tour in 1998, and their only goal was to make money. A bit pathetic for such an influential band. I have a bootleg of one of these shows in MP3 and thought it was sad that the versions they played weren't very different from the originals. They didn't put much work into it it seems.
Speaking of bootlegs I have on MP3 (soundboard recording), I also have a show that Karl Bartos did in Germany a year ago or two, and he played many many Kraftwerk songs. Man, that was pathetic as well allright, even if it was cool to hear all these old songs such as Metropolis. But it didn't feel right. It felt like Bartos was making money with the name and songs of Kraftwerk (using the original samples and sounds). And it just didn't sound right with his voice on every song. I think the only song, or one of the few, that he ever sang with Kraftwerk was The Telephone Call.

Yeah, but Bartos has had lots of writing credits on Kraftwerk material since "The Man Machine" (including lyrics) therefore why shouldn't he play them. "Esperanto" (the album not the language!) has some good stuff on, very Kraftwerkian as you'd expect. I also recommend "I was a Robot" the book by Wolfgang Flur (could have done with less about his wanking habits though. Peter Hook has been known to play NO/JD stuff in his side-project stuff - surely the same rule should apply?
