Found out about this last minute, Belvedere Vodka and Radar Magazine sponsored a screening of the Joy Division Documentary at the New Museum last evening here in nyc. Following the documentary there was a q&a session with Peter Hook and Tom Atencio. While the moderator was a bit painful, Hooky was in a jovial mood recalling some funny stories about his mother, the kids and his general thoughts on music today. After the q&a, there was an afterparty where Hooky dj'ed for a few hours. All in all a pretty nice evening.

I don't think it was advertised in any capacity; i received an invite from a friend. both events were list only, but there was a vip list-line and a regular list-line, by the time the vip line was completely in the theatre, it seemed as if only 10-20 people would have gotten in from the regular list line. a bit annoying when you consider the vip line probably had a fair share of people with just a passing curiosity of it all.

Typical for anything New Order related, it seems.

haha -- true. tho what i meant was that it wasn't advertised as it seemed to be a private affair.
