well youre the expert! im just saying what scientists did. why wouldnt mice react to withdrawal symptons of alcohol? chimps do with drugs.

It's kind of funny how much work Hooky is doing that involves New Order when he said he wasn't in New Order any longer. Maybe the boys are making some progress patching things up. Stephen should work for the UN....he seems to be better at mediating than most ambassadors are. I'd be so happy if they were able to patch things up soon. Still, he's putting more work into NO than Freebass, it appears. Head scratcher. He seemed so gung-ho before.
Good to hear about the new website.. I would buy any thing (live, outtake, demo tracks) offered there in a heartbeat. I hope the quality of the tracks is high though.
Great that there will be alot of interesting "new" old stuff released one way or another. Good to see that someone is finally showing some respect to the band's 80s past.
I kinda thought that Freebass was a little more further along.

I'm not surprised he couldn't answer several of the questions - I can't believe you lot remember some of that stuff! Fuck if I know what I was doing or where I was in October of 1983...
That does sound a lot more positive than anything recently, although I doubt Bernard is involved much.
However,I'm not getting my hopes up, as Hooky did seem pretty sure they were finished, suppose it depends on what kind of finished.

the website sounds like a brilliant idea, I for one, as a collector of the boot, have oft wondered why bands did not follow pearl jam down this path -- make the live stuff available (good quality mind you) at a nice price via webdownload -- it's like free money -- get paid to play the gig, get paid by people who want to hear the gig later, only problem is you need to vary your setlists nightly to really make bank (hypothetically speaking of course, were the boys to ever play again.....)

Yes, Ian actually wrote something about kittens and rainbows in the last verse, but it would've completely ruined his street cred as a drab miserablist, so the demo is cut off and Barney re-wrote the last verse to bring it back in line with the mystique. Absolute fact.

How about Revenge and Monaco material? The Revenge 2.0 was a hit. And I heard a DVD was in the works? How about a Monaco DVD? Maybe on the website?
Why was Technique left of the last couple of tours? Round & round is a classic that deserves to be played with BLT and True faith.
Any regrets on missing some great opportunities, 3 good examples are
A) The Confusion mix from the blade soundtrack and rest of. That song was played in every dance club every night for years. I would hear it on the radio for years. If you released it as a single with a video, it would have made the top 10 for sure.
B) Turn my way, This should have been a single (At least in N.America) Billy just left his band and people still cared about him. If you made a video, MTV would have ate it up
C) The control soundtrack (I will be honest, it sucked) New Order should have made a couple of songs and released a single. (These Days would have been a good choice)

Q9 What happened to that wonderful bass work on the demo of Dream Attack that was not included on the Technique release? It’s like the final version was almost the exact opposite, hardly any bass at all, yet the demo was the most fantastic bass intro.
A9 Well that’s the problem isn’t it? Ive not heard the demo send us a copy? so presume it was just mixed out ah well!
