I thought it was a book about how to ocnvince people you are spinning records and not playing a mix cd.

When, if he hasn't already is Mr Steve going to write a book? Honestly, Steve is the only one who could write an interesting, and compelling piece. And Liam is right about the title.

Hooky has many stories to tell. I think the Hacienda is merely a chapter in the book he should be writing.

I can't wait until this book is released so we can see all the smart arse comments from people too young or from too far away to remember Manchester in the late 80s, early 90s. For anyone who experienced this time and this social scene, Hooky's book will be essential reading. Of course there are a fair few books on the subject, but so far only Tony Wilson's (semi-fictional) book was written by someone who was actually involved in the scene to the same extent as Hooky. It's bound to be a fascinating read and anyone that doesn't expect it to be should probably avoid it and shut the fuck up while they're doing it.

Just a thought, like.

Looking forward to the book if it's anywhere near as good as his appearance on Grant Gee's JD Doc :thumb:

If his blogs are any insight to his writing ability, I hope he gets a good editor making it somewhat understandable...

Or how he paid a few grand for the Hacienda name and made "thousands" just from the name alone?

Fair play to che Hooky for the above, but must admit all the Hac stuff is getting rather tired these days.....

Whats the title of the paperback....

No pic for the book yet, let me guess, yellow, black and white, with PETER HOOK (of joy Division & New Order) on the top, and possibly use of a road sign something like:

Just a thought, could be a tad wide of the mark, c'mon saville do something new.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

Maybe it'll be ghost written by Paul Morley?...
