LWTUA on an episode of Dr Who tonight on BBC3. It's the episode entitled "School Reunion", where The Doctor meets Sarah Jane after a 30-year absence.

LWTUA comes 16 mins 30 secs into the episode. Rose's ex, Mickey, is having a laugh at her expense now that Sarah Jane is back on the scene.

Very subtle!

My girlfriend has just excitedly emailed me to say:

NO SPOTTING!!!Boyd Hilton (Heat Magazine Editor or TV critic) twittered the following: "Currently playing on office stereo: New Order - Thieves Like Us. Who needs The BRITs?!"

For our American colonial types it's the Brit awards tonight. I shall be watching to see if Bernard desecends Kylie-style for the Pet Shop Boys' lifetime achievement performance...

Composite Technology Announces New Order for Transmission Conductor Business

Bundled Conductor Application Targeted for Immediate Installation

IRVINE, CA - Composite Technology Corporation (CTC) (OTCBB: CPTC) is pleased to announce a new ACCC(TM) conductor order for its subsidiary, CTC Cable Corporation. The order issued by Far East Composite Technology Company, a subsidiary of Jiangsu New Far East Cable Corporation (Far East), is made up of a single core size with associated hardware to be used on a critical transmission line in China. The order represents conductor for the first segment of an important reconductor project for a major transmission corridor.

The order is valued at approximately $3.1 million and is composed of 750 kilometers of ACCC(TM) core and associated hardware. The transmission line is designed to use a bundle of 4 Dove sized ACCC(TM) conductors. The hardware provided by CTC Cable will be its standard design with spacers provided by Far East. The core will be stranded by Far East in China under terms of the established Manufacturing and Distribution Agreement. The line is planned for installation in mid-2009.

"We are excited about the use of ACCC(TM) conductor in this bundled application. We have long believed the use of bundled conductors was an excellent way to utilize the benefits of ACCC(TM) conductor for very high voltage applications. This is an important line and we are pleased with the extensive investigative work completed by Far East to show the suitability of ACCC(TM) for this application. We expect to release more details of the line at a later date," stated Marv Sepe, COO of CTC and President of CTC Cable.

you can't really add to this thread, it could be "just seen hooky fall asleep in his cornflakes after a 48 hour round trip for a one hour dj slot in japan"

it is one of the best tracks though.

1 of the support acts 2nite,Black Kids, @ Manchester arena did a cover/excerpt of BLT

Part of their own song called; I'm not gonna teach your boyfriend how to dance.

when they started it I thought it was gonna be a straight cover version until they sang, then I thought ' that's a bit fookin cheeky' then they did a bit of BLT and I thought 'they fookin had to really'

other than that they were a pretty decent live band and @ a 45 miinute set didn't outstay their welcome

no idea of their recorded stuff mind, so dont know if their song when recorded is still a homage to BLT

I heard Slow Jam on a Visa commercial earlier today. I didn't even realize it was New Order until about 8 seconds into the commercial.

I still seems odd that they'd use such a seemingly random song like that

"The naming of the dead" by Ian Rankin, page 404.

One of the characters says they are going to 'T in the Park' and will get there just in time to see NO. It's also set in 2005, so is based on NO's actual appearance at the event.
