Was in the big Harrods department store in Knightsbridge the other day with my brother who is visiting from Canada..we were in the toy section and Blue Monday was pumping out on the PA system:D
Electronic's "Get the Message" was on BBC1 the other day in the run up to the F1 Grand Prix.
This is not really a proper spotting, but there's this bug repellant advert airing on TV over here that has this fairly generic synth bass line playing as the background music---it sounds similar to Blue Monday, although I can tell it's not exactly Blue Monday.
That being said, everytime I see the advert, it reminds me of Blue Monday.
On BBC's The One Show on Friday they had a piece on female ministers in the British Cabinet all quitting for various reasons. When they showed a clip of Jacqui Smith, they played the intro of She's Lost Control (12" Mix) in the background. Nice. Now that's a gag for a niche market.
I just heard Age Of Consent in Brooklyn Industries wihich is a clothing shop in NYC, I heard it in Brooklyn, the one on Atlantic avenue and Smith street and after that song they played another one of my favorite songs Star Guitar by Chemical Brothers.
Quite a few New Order and JD choons on Episode 2 of Crude Britannia: The Story of North Sea Oil on BBC Four.
Mr Disco popping out in a club scene in the movie "He's not just into you" was a pretty big surprise.
What's that thing with Adrian Chiles on the Beeb? 7pm weeknights (is it on every night?).
An instrumental "Someone Like You" was on it last night.
Heard Blue Monday on a TV radio station.
That's about it... I've never heard NO at stores or anything. There was that one time when I heard the Kylie Minogue song in a clothes store.
Ugh...I got really happy and then really sad when I heard her voice.

They played a short piece of SLY all week during the Tiggywinkles features
(it's called the One Show)
Last Sat night around midnight, I heard a "boom boom boom" sound coming from outside..I opened the window and heard "Blue Monday" pounding out from the houseparty across the street..I should have went over just to say "tune" but it was raining quite a bit...
I like Hooky's current MySpace status...

Like we had no idea!
JD's Closer, as well as NO's Power Corruption and Lies were both listed in Rockin' On's list of 100 best indie albums. (It was this month's edition.)
Just seen Bernard at our local supermarket. He looked harrased as he had tried to get in the car with 2 bags and got stuck in the door!
Just been reading Bradley Wiggins' twitter page. Says he's been listening to Joy Division to get him motivated for the Tour de France.
Temptation (87) on Country Tracks BBC1 feature about having a longboat on the thames (not viking related)

and followed by I Saw the Light, The The from the Hanky Panky album. Someone on that production team has good taste!
... in that it matches mine!!!
transformed “God Put A Smile On Your Face” into a synthetic, New Order-esque dance number and even saw them throwing in an All Points West-related surprise in the shape of another Beastie Boys shout out.
