Just had the best night in for ages, was bored after the cricket so decided to put the 2nd Glasgow DVD on, and it brought back all the old memories, by the end I was dancing round the room like a loon.

Think back, when the blue lights came up and the band's arrival on stage was imminent, and we had absolutely no fucking idea what the first song was gonna be, or if they would play anything from the night before's set. Always something different in the set, always totally unpredictable of performance from one song to the next, bum notes, whole songs played in the wrong key by various band members, ad-libbed lyrics or even songs that weren't anywhere near finished. Fucking ace. Cheers New Order, you've made an old monkey very happy for the first time in ages.

This is of course, true,& was absolutely great in the days when you collected the boots, especially if you armed with the track listings beforehand,& all the bum notes, wrong lyrics & general 'all over the place' of the performances just made it more fookin' entertaining rather than a studio sounding,gig-by-numbers professional one.I loved it.Sadly, from '89 onwards,it was dwindling returns. I'm still looking for Milwaukee '86 if anyone can help, fookin' great setlist

Milwaukee 86 was crap performance! Highlight was prob the encore.

Had a perfect friday night myself two weeks ago, watching the second disc and eating a whole tub of Häagen-Dazs' prailines & cream.

Don't wanna go on the "That's the New Order I knew and grew up loving" talk, but... to hell with it. That's the New Order I knew and grew up loving.

The Glasgow DVD brings me the sweetest memories of the '06 tour.

There's 3 of them, "316", released in 2001 and comprising the Reading 98 gig and the old "Taras Shevchenko" one; "511", featuring the Finsbury Park 2002 gig (and a few NOOL'ers in the extras!), released in 2002 and now "Live in Glasgow". The old "Neworderstory" doc was re-released in 2005 and it features a few live clips, namely Montreux 93. So we're still waiting for PFD and Academy on DVD (and yes, I know there's a japanese edition of Pumped...).

Finally bought the new DVD, went straight to the second disc. I've never seen them look so exciting or kinetic, it wipes the floor with PFD or Academy. Does anyone know who filmed this footage and whether any more is out there?

Yeah, me too...bought the GLASGOW DVD 2 months ago and went straight for the second disc to put it on, in fact even today I have yet to watch the first disc. Same goes for that 511 DVD, bought it and went straight to file it together with all my other JD/NO 'trophies' on the shelf and I have yet to watch it either....waiting for that one cosy rainy day or maybe that siren's call...:D
