I am sure you have seen a million of these, but who cares. My Wife and I are recollecting our Southern Cal Days when Richard Blade held your torch so high.

I am from NYC and I never heard your stuff until I moved to LA, and all that is BS. I am simply begging you to come back to the US. We saw you at Red Rocks at least a decade ago, and well I am just making my statement. I refuse to leave the bloody planet without seeing you again.

If you refuse to come to the states, we'll be in London for the Olympics

But SO many people want you here, it would be selfish of me not to beg

Sincerely

Vince Lewis Philadelphia

Not even Bill Gates underwriting the promotion and guaranteeing seven figures upfront would get them back together to play a gig in the States. If they won't play Manchester for the likes of the memory of Tony Wilson, when Barney would be able to be driven home within an hour of the gig finishing, they sure ain't gonna travel across the pond!

Ah... I'm in too. First class flights please.

Make sure Gaz gets an anal cavity search at the airport. He loves it really.

Oh.. And we will require copious amounts of alcohol, and busty Cali girls that go 'oooh, I just loove your accent' (well mine anyway).

And who the fuck is Richard Blade?

I'm willing to add a bona fide Manc air to proceedings. Just let me know when you want me and I'll bring along my Joe Bloggs.

Richard Blade was a British defect that DJed for "The World Famous KROQ", a radio station in Los Angeles that brought in most of British music in the 80s and also brought us all the Cali punk bands of the 80s. KROQ heavily influenced MTV (as it was also based in LA) and started many rock shows like Lallapalooza, Accustic Christmas, and also held the famous 101 Depeche Mode concert at the Rose Bowl. In the 90s Blade then ran a show that played random 80s music that weren't big singles... kinda created a large cult following of NO, Depeche Mode, Morrissey, and other such bands....

Oh cool. I was toying with with this image of Wesley Snipes destroying vampires to a mix of Confusion.
