I never went to a festival – not that I am proud of it, but never did it.

I have seen some of the following bands several times but never more than four times.

I have also pleased some women of my life and went to some concerts I would not have gone by my own.

I gone and threw away some about 10 years ago,I regretted it about 2 days later. My first ever gig,ULTRAVOX in 1981 plus FESTIVAL OF THE TENTH SUMMER @ GMEX (feat New Order,Smiths,Fall)were among them. Daft bastard.But I've been keeping them ever since.I try and clip-frame a lot of them now.

I forgot Siousie and the Banshees, Erasure, Midge Ure, Violent Femmes, Oasis.

Oasis just played the Virgin Festival in Toronto (sadly I was not present) and apparently, some loser got up on the stage and shoved one of the Gallagher brothers into one of the speakers! He was charged and the show went on about 15 or 20 minutes later. Can't say I'm surprised though!

I must say that I too only saw Nelly Fertado because she opened for U2 (not sure if that's any better though because there doesn't seem to be any big fans of U2 on this site..lol) at Slane Castle...not a big fan. Moby kicked ass though!

I know! That's what triggered the old memory...Midge Ure opened for band I went to see...I think it may have been Howard Jones but I'm not certain - my memory is shit.

aha...my memory does not fail me this time - he did open for Howard Jones in 1989 - I can't believe that was almost 20 years ago!

I keep mine in an envelope..have lost a few as well...I really like the "souvenir tickets" with full artwork as opposed to the standard Ticketbastard ones

Well, I used to do the same in a stamp album.

For the ticketbastard ones, I found something interesting. I realised, a few years ago, that you still can get "old style" tickets when you buy them at the last moment, at the gate of the concert place. If the concert is not sold out yet, a good way to get a souvenir with a nice ticket you can add to your collection.
