If you've been following the threads in my remasters post, then you may have read I'm going to do a proper job on Recycle as well.

Each of the original Factory singles will have it's own CD, collecting every official 7" mix, 12" mix, and B-side. All promo remixes/edits will be included as well, and possibly even a live version here and there.

Things like the 1990 Minimal Records remixes of Confusion will be included. The 808 State acid house mixes may or may not.

Each CD will have a slipcase that faithfully replicates/restores the original artwork:

Once that's finished - Ceremony through World In Effin' Motion - then I'll consider doing the post 1990 singles, but I am NOT a fan of 90's remixes, plus, in most cases there's too many to fit on one CD (hello, Blue Monday 95).

Again, exciting news. Gretton would be proud.

just keeps getting better doesn't it?

in my version, i've got everything included everything up until 2008 ... so it will include the later mixes also...

the artwork you posted is beautiful..

however, my questions:

  1. which cover for ceremony ? (green/white?)

  2. which color for procession? (9 diff ones)

  3. temptation (diff artwork 12" and 7")

  4. perfect kiss (silver cover, or pics on 7")

  5. sub-culture (no cover artwork)

  6. true faith (2 diff covers)

  7. round and round (diff covers)

  8. world in motion (2 different covers)

looking at the colour codes on confusion again, what's the 4th character? the first three are FAC, but blue & purple on the same character?

I'll stick to the standard 12" sleeve (read: True Faith blue, not multiple falling leaves), except for Procession. For that one I'll probably just arbitrarily pick a color. Ceremony will be the reissue cream/blue sleeve because I like it better.

Doing the diecut for Blue Monday will be a bitch.

Hrmm, there's some weird formatting thing going on. Anyway, the question about the color codes on the sleeve - the 4th character is 93 - FAC93, the Factory catalogue number.

This is great indeed! Can't wait!

I thought you were gonna try and beat me up or something for second......

now I get it :)

holy cow !!!

that is unbelievable !!!

i went to office supply stores looking for printable sleeves, but they all came in flimsy paper versions..

i was never able to find proper ones.. do you have an online source, or store? or are just getting some custom material from an arts store, and just custom cutting it?

for the regular sleeves (not blue monday)..

oh, and by the way, i would definitely be willing to pay for the sleeves, cover, artwork etc..

my version of recycle was going to come with a booklet that had information from the new order discography about every release...

keep up the excellent work !

If the original titles/tracks are already printed on the sleeve, like [orange][orange]Run2[/orange][/orange], I presume there won't be any bonus tracks on these cd-maxis? Luckily not often Peter Saville had put the titles on the sleeves... Or will you be using the original fonts?

i noticed on the 'run' cover,

that the bottom and top have o's that go over the bend flaps?

is it supposed to be like that?

or did you want the whole image to fit onto the panel...

Relax, these aren't finished. I'm merely showing you the progress. It's standard procedure for printing to bleed over into the areas you don't see, and the original Saville fonts will be used to list bonus tracks. In the case of Run 2 there are no bonus tracks to add, since the 12", the promo 7", and the video all contain the exact same mix of the song. The only potential addition would be a live version.

here's procession , although there are 11 colors...

procession blue

procession green

procession black

its tough due to the texture/grain.

Before you attempt Blue Monday I'll tell you it's not going to be fully constructed inner/outer sleeves. That would change the dimensions of the outermost sleeve.

Instead, it'll be a normal-sized outer sleeve with the cutouts, then a bi-folded piece of black (or silver) paper on the inside.

Either that, or it'll be like the PC&L car carry case:

[flexi removed]

blue monday with silver inner

blue monday without inner sleeve

yeah, these are going to be a pain to get the notches, and cutout parts done..

The Christmas flexi is not in the singles box, it's on the Movement remaster. It was not commercially available, it was a freebie.
