whilst on a random google i came across these two images...

http://www.new-order.se/artwork/1981/NewOrder\_Retford\_Back.jpg http://tinyurl.com/483zdr

which bought the memories flooding back from the old porterhouse days. i was supposed to be there for this gig but things all went pete tong on the night and i never got there.

very interested to see that a local picture was used , mr welchmans photo's are regularly featured in the local press.

my main question though , and forgive me as a newbie if im asking an old and tired question or breaking any taboo , is , how on earth would i find a copy of this recording?

im presuming from my quick bit of research that its a bootleg of very low quality but its more just as a reminder of the era than a crisp audio disc that im after.

anyone help?

Before anyone 'helps' with this request there is potentially an official release for this gig on the way - so don't.

I can't help in the least bit, pal.

It wasn't me honest guv, I know nothing about this. It was somebody else, etc.

I would never, ever consider having a bootleg recording of any NO material. What would their corporate masters say?...

(Psst, You catch my drift people?!...)

There's at least two audience sources of this gig floating around, I think. But as Johnny James says, this show could be one of those that gets released in the near future. Whether that will be through this mooted website that Hooky told us about or on CD, only time will tell. Sheffield 81 was also discussed with regard to the same project, I'm not actually sure which of the Sheffield 81 gigs they meant, presumably the 22/4/81 one which is shit hot.
