Dunno, threw mine away...

Only joking. I think there is more than one design, so it depends which one you got.

Think mine just said 45rpm? Er, and had an arrow on it?

Whatever could that mean?

Mine had the list of band members names where 'Steve' has been crossed out and replaced with 'Stephen'.

I think there is one that says 'Bands, Lights, Posters, Money'

Any more?

mine's still not arrived...

'Bands, Lights, Posters, Money'...yeah, thats the one I got too.

Whilst it's not like proper reading, as it's mainly lists...I found it really interesting. The fact they stayed at a hotel in Derby (The Pennine) I used to live across the road from was pretty wierd.

And then, remembering the bombed-out, desolate look of the place, seemed to be somehow appropriate!

thanks for the info on this - i ordered one yesterday it sounds very interesting - the members access on the site is quite cool too - i love lists tho !!

I also ordered mine last night. I can't help feeling that £25 sounds a bit steep for a paper back that seems to consist mostly of shopping lists, having said that it looks to be a quite interesting in a 'nosey parker' kind of way.

Mine's stuck at the post office.

The book's launch party in Manchester last night was lovely. Steve and Gillian, Andy Rob, M Pickering, Bruce Mitchell, Alan Erasmus, me and Big Clive (and a lot of other people, not sure who they were) saw a short presentation Rob's wife and John Savage then mingled and ate fairy cakes while DJs played (including Rob's boy playing records from his Dad's own collection) while some old super 8 footage of Rob played on the wall.

Everyone who knew Rob remembers him with affection, admiration and always amusement. John Savage said that because Rob died before the history of Factory started to be written, his part in the story has been understated. Those involved with this book are very proud of it as a document of his personality, and also as a record of the often-ignored influence that Rob had over the ethos and direction of Factory Records and the bands.
