I cringe to think what'd be on the Republic bonus disc. To complemenet the umpteen mixes of the singles, how about:
Regret (I've Had a Few Mix) World (Intergalactic Mix) Ruined In A Day (Ruined In A Dub) Spooky (Haloween Mix)
All no doubt replete with more 'crackles' and 'pops' than I get from my favourite bowl of cereal in the morning.
Surely they're not going to re-release WFTSC. Not after the dismal sales last time. Unless they shove on the seven new tracks on the bonus disc. At least they can't be mastered from vinyl eh?! Ooh can't wait for some more Jetstream remixes. Shit, sorry i mentioned Jetstream. Shouldn't have done that.

They'd better not mess with the artwork either or I'll be ropable :D

Considering what they did with Brotherhood, maybe it will have an orange background with white text that says Yes.

In Comic Sans
The republic disc should be loads of fun, they might not even write the tracks on the bonus discs. Imagine that! Guess that regret dub, pick that World remix, ah and 20 odd spooky remixes.
Chorley, they don't need to re-master WFTSC - it was released only 3 years ago, there's nothing to be improved. It's safe to say th esame about Get Ready. Now Republic does need to get its shit together, with proper bass.

I don't agree. WTF (...) was poorly mastered, the sound is overly compressed and gives anybody with healthy ears and brains serious headache after 30 minute listening...

You can listen to WFTSC for 30 minutes? Blimey!
i haven't reallly checked yet,
but there may be some slight differences in the japanese pressing of WFTSC, vs the UK/US versions...
of course, i'll post some graphs for you to show the differences...
i know the japanese version of krafty needs to be included in the remaster, right? (or maybe an entire japanese version of the album)..

As for Republic, I guess they might pull the mixes from Cassette only release like the Vicious Circle New Order Mix onto CD.
Also, I believe there were mixes of Vanishing Point done in '94 when True Faith was done, so maybe these might resurface if they exist.
It'll still be interesting to see how they turn out!

for republic: some rarer tracks
12:49 Regret (sabres slow 'n' low) 13:31 Regret (sabres fast 'n' throb) -> full version
6:14 Ruined in a Day (instrumental) 3:55 Ruined in a Day (k-klass edit)
4:09 Vicious Circle (new order mix)
6:48 world (the price of dub) 3:28 world (tony garcia radio mix)
===========================
and of course, any other unreleased tracks too..

Or as luck would have it, we'd get the Regret(New Order Mix) and that Ruined In A Day mix where its just the first verse, the name escapes me.
DigitalWaters wrote: As long as the WFTSC b disc has the missing 6 or 7 tracks, even as demos, I'll be happy.
If they do WFTSC I shar eyour sentiment, let's just hope they replace jetstream with some remix, even the radio mix is better.

there's a lot of 'waiting for the sirens' call mixes that i want to get..
both planet funk mixes both asle mixes
if they feel generous, they can include all the new versions of temptation, everythings gone green, and bizarre love triangle promo mixes too..

With that shitfest True dub whatever on brotherhood, anythings possible.
This is never gonna happen but I'd love to hear some demo's from the first 'Republic' sessions. From comments at the time I got the impression the original versions were Hookier (he told Melody Maker in '92 the new album'd be a harder 'un). Like the Hookser told a guitar mag that he'd feed the electronic bassline into the computer and then play over it with his distinctive style - only in the case of 'World' Hague never used his contribution. Everyone moans there's not enough Hooky on 'Republic', some demo's'd be far more interesting than a bunch of mixes I compiled for meself 15 years back.
that's because Hague borrowed Hookys bass work for "World" and made it Barneys vocal melody...
michael preda wrote: Ironically nobody gives a sh*t about Get Ready, I find that hilarious.
well, there's the pre-release demo versions that are slightly different,
lots of b-sides, and actually some decent mixes..
they could easily whip up a cool 2cd set, i really don't like the album much, but there's a couple of good tracks, and once again, some creative mixes..

I will never be ready for the so called 'London Years' ... I'm not spending any money on Warners anymore. First things first: they have to fix their 'Factory Years'.
