Hello, long-time reader first-time poster here. I've been away from the net for a few months and was stunned to learn there's a JD track I haven't heard, could I still get it somewhere. It's hard to google such a reaction-provoking band.....

Also, what's the thinking on WFTSC these days?

personally, I love it, almost as good as technique in my eyes..... I do hope they make another album. There should be one last one, right? Like THE final album. and THE final show. and they could record/play temptation again for "the last time".

Personally I love WFTSC, certainly best of of the non factory albums. The first 5 tracks on that album are just so good. Does loose its way a bit on side 2 but hits back with the brilliant Turn.

I do listen to Who's Joe? a hell of alot on my iPod these days... along with the title track, Morning Night And Day and Turn I would rate those as my favourite songs from WFTSC.

It's a good album; I enjoyed it more than Get Ready because there was more variation in the sound. Unfortunately, I think more than a few of the songs could have benefitted from a harsher, more experimental approach. Perhaps in terms of how the band recorded them or in choice of producer. The sound has quite a "sheen" even by Stephen Hague's standards and he was nowhere to be seen this time.

Jetstream is the one song I really didn't think should've been on WFTSC. It felt wrong buying a New Order 12" with a "featuring Ana Matronic" sticker on the cover. Not that it's a bad song in terms of being "daft" and "poppy" but it shouldn't have come out under the New Order name; that's an Electronic song if ever we heard one.

That said, the Richard X remix is a proper tune

Road To Ruin, WFTSC and Turn all get heavy rotation on ma Ipod still.

Just checked ma current NO Ipod most played : Top 10

1 Turn 38 2 Temptation (Single) 35 3 Road To Ruin 33 4 Sunrise 30 5 WFTSC 26 6 Ceremony (Single) 26 7 Age Of Consent 24 8 Regret (Reading 98) 23 9 AIIWIW 20 10 Crystal 18

Any news on anymore early Warsaw / JD tracks gonna be made available by Hooky? Havnae had a proper look at MySpace or JoyDivision Central for donkey's!

I haven't listened to it in a while but WFTSC is quality. Jetstream is the only mediocre song, but it's redeemed by some amazing remixes. Probably their best post-Technique.

Musically it's up there with anything post-Technique but the lyrics are tired and predictable. Even in Barney's weaker moments you usually get the sense he is conveying something bigger-picture, but on WFTSC there's so much "the sky is high the road is long" nonsense that the emotional impact is nil IMHO.

Err, apart from the very prominent bassline.

I actually think that the albums get better with time and aside from "Working Overtime" (which is a b-side if I ever heard one), WFTSC is a quality product.
