Howdy, I couldn't see a topic for introducing new members so thought I'd post here - don't hate me if it's the wrong place.

I've always been a fan of New Order as a natural progression after Joy Division who I faithfully followed and was fortunate enough to see in 1979 in Edinburgh.

In fact at first I wasn't really a NO fan to be truthfull as I was pissed at comments Barnie made after Ian's death about his sellfishness mucking up things for JD.

However probably as a result of missing JD so much it seemed only natural to continue to absorb NO's material and through time and the continued progression of the band I have continued to be a fan to this day.

Two years ago I finally made the trip to Macclesfield Crem which was suprisingly moving and I'm glad I went.

Now grey and wrinkled I can look back and confidently say that NO have crafted some of the most perfect songs I have come across such as True Faith and Regret without even getting into the more innovative material.

So there we go. Thought I'd post. Better late than never.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers. Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

Also, what ever you do, don't talk about a topic other people may have discussed previously. That is frowned upon by certain members.

Hello, you're very brave using that photo considering the piss takers on here (myself included)

BTW, did you pick up a headstone while you were at the crem?

Also beware the yank that is in need of a holiday, he can be very blunt, but funny when you realise how daft his rants are (he does seem to have calmed a bit recently though!)

Welcome, also remember to ensure rick astley wins best act ever. Do try not to be an ignorant twat like me, it gets on certain members nerves.

Mercy for the welcome.

No, the stone was in situ when I left. I actually had my lad with me when I went to visit it and he was 14 which was how old I was when I discovered JD so quite poignant.

Unfortunately I did not fully research prior to my visit so wandered for hours before finding it but that made it even more special as suddenly there it was.

Another note about the gig I saw JD at was that I think debbie Curtis and Anil were both at the show and Gretton and the others were desperately attempting to keep them from meeting backstage.
