I've got quite a few N.O. & J.D. mpg files if anyone wants to download them.

I've made them available through Kazaa.com and I have a permanent broadband connection.

If you sign up there, you'll find it's easy to use - I've shared some live stuff & rarities plus covers (some of which used to be here on N.O. online)

If you want to search by user, my ID is: 586Prime

Otherwise just search 'New Order' audio.

Hope this helps any of you who missed stuff for any reason.

Please note, I've not shared any currently commercially available stuff, so I'm not trying to undermine the band in any way.

Happy downloading.

crap, i'm using wimnx, i just don't trust kazaa, ya know? that spyware crap and the fact that they're very soon gonna be another lawsuit tragedy. :(

Well i don't ACTUALLY bother with MP3's much.rather have the REAL THING with ARTWORK,otherwise it is just like using a library! ROCKET COLLECTOR MICK

Well, if anyone's got a better way for me to share my files with you, I'm open to suggestions.

As for preferring the real thing, Mick, I agree with you, but if the only way I'll get a particular live track/obscure session recording is by downloading it and burning it myself, I'm happy to do so.

Anyway, as I said, if anyone can give me details of a good P2P program or upload/download site, please let me know.

Cheers

winmx is good, but the selection can be iffy at times...napster had the best selection...did it not? anyways, nothing beats the real thing, but i agree that a p2p program is essential for those who want to hear the forbidden stuff...mainly bootlegs and extra tracks from very expensive imports.

Well, thanks for the info - I'll try to make the files available on WinMX too.

Hope it works...

Sorry it's off topic, but it's about us "Mac users" ;)

Kevin - that's cos you're looking for the wrong ID - it's 586Prime, not Prime586...

I took it from the Stephen Morris rework of 586 that was on the Future Mist tape-zine in the early 80's. (sort of re-released as Video586).

If you're hving trouble with KaZaa, try finding my files on WinMX - I took the others' advice and tried that - regardless of the spyware or whatever, I think it's much better - thanks to those who recommended it.

Just try searching 'New Order' in either program.

Hi,

Thanks for trying to help - still no luck. I have both WinMX and Kazaa Lite and cannot find anything from 586Prime when searching for New Order. How do you search for a specific user? or alternatively is there a particular track that I could search for that you are hosting?

cheers

Kevin

Is there anything in particular you're after?

Right, New Order 'covering' Joy Division:

Love Will Tear Us Apart (several live versions & 1 studio piss-about)

Decades (live)

Digital (3 versions)

Transmission (2 versions)

Isolation (4 versions)

Atmosphere (5 versions)

She's Lost Control (2 versions - I think!)

Sister Ray (3 versions)

***********************

As for the Confusion Flotation mix - haven't got it to hand at the moment, but I'm sure I could find it. I'm quite happy to copy files onto CD for people, possibly in return for a live N.O. CD/tape... :deal: ?

Found some '89 stuff - if you can work out how to search by user, I've had to re-register with WinMX as:

586Prime685

Hope this helps - if not, email me at chrisnash@mrnice.co.uk with the tracks you're trying to find and I'll be happy to copy them for you, or perhaps try to mail the files to you.
