Woolwich is rather good (well, silly). Glasto is pretty much the state of NO in 87 though, and BBC production too.

I've never liked that Glastonbury recording, mixed at the time of broadcast the levels are wrong and not consistent with those at the gig, Hooky's mic is really low for example, which it wasn't at the time. I'll need to have a listen again but I remember thinking the DVD of Glastonbury was overdubbed with a soundboard recording rather than the BBC recording.

Some really good stuff that year.
I had really good quality boots from the likes of Reading Uni, Sheffield Roxy, the Barras and Hacienda.
In fact, all the UK gigs turned out rather well, didn't they?

Yes, Barney had a rather fetching sweater on for that, didn't he? Multi-coloured job.
But he got rid of it after the first song then spent the rest of the gig rolling up / then down the sleeves of the white polo shirt he had on underneath.

I don't think I've got a bad one from '87 quality wise,good year for boots sound wise.The U.S. ones are better setlist wise,& the Aussie ones from Jan/Feb are good too

Did you dream this one? The only Wembley gig in 87 was a headlining gig with Primal Scream supporting (and it was a bit crap, at least from the back anyway).
You were lucky at the back. You didn't get to hear the drums echoing off the back wall.
As far as I know U2 never played Wembley apart from Live Aid so its a WUM.

so thats why barney and hooky took there tops off,, she must have had her mike mixed well down though.
