I read a post somewhere recently that said Lets Go and Skullcrusher were originally due to be recorded and released on Low Life but obviously this never happened.
Both tracks had a few live airings round about the time and the original version of Lets Go is a genuine 'lost' classic IMHO. Am I right in thinking that Skullcrusher had lyrics at some point?
Does anyone know why these tracks weren't included on Low Life?
Skullcrusher might well have had lyrics - I'm sure they played it at the Paradiso in Amsterdam in 84, can't tell you if it definitely had lyrics though, I think the Rocket still has my CD of the gig, I agree with you on Let's Go as well, I'm certain I read somewhere that they were gonna put that on the album (either in place of Elegia, or as well as) Again I may be wrong - but I think someone mentioned on here that they never wanted 2 instrumentals on the album - so they put it away fer a bit, then used it for The Salvation soundtrack a couple of years later! Anyone clarify this, or am I getting CONFUSed again?
I think if they had released Let's Go (the one with the "waiting for so long" lyrics) on Low Life if could of been as big a crowd pleaser as LV or AOC.
I really like the instrumental on the Salvation soundtrack as well but thought the "Nothing for me" version was a little poor.
They were scheduled instead of the Perfect Kiss edit, but neither was finished in time. Skullcrusher had lyrics on its 4 live outings during 84 (Frankfurt Hausnied, Amsterdam Paradiso, Barcelona Studio 54 and De Panne Festival) - may have also been played elsewhere as well. It wasn't exactly finished though lyrically, usually had Barney swearing in rhyme.
I myself am not a masiive fan of the instrumentals - but the first time I heard Let's Go I was blown away
Needless to say it was Uncly John who had the Salvation Soundtrack just after it came out - I was more interested in the bird on the front cover till I heard Let's Go;)

sorry dudely - I've got that many CD's lying about the place - it's easy to lose track of who's got my stuff, and what stuff I actually still have;) My live tapes had better still be in chronological order - with tracklists attached - when I come to pick em up:D
