Frusciante & Flea Cover Joy Division

So I came across this a while ago but only just remembered about it recently and thought I would share it with you lot...

As a massive RHCP fan, I think it's awesome.

Flea, John Frusciante & Josh Klinghoffer (he's worked on lots of Frusciante's solo records) played a show back in 2000 calling themselves "Still" and played a set of JD songs.

I've heard of this before,but thought the Chilis did this at the start of the '90's,maybe also? Quality tho',could almost be JD in parts,SLC is excellent,nice one Jack. Any thoughts about mp3-ing them?

Weren't they on that tribute CD released in the US a couple of years back now? I can't remember what the CD's called now, I remember quite enjoying the LWTUA cover by Stanton-Miranda, very NO. There was also Wilson on about how JD have come to be this massive influence on American music without anyone realising and whatnot, and something to do with academia.

Frusciante is great. I have an album of some electronic/alt-rock he did. That man does not NEED the Chili Peppers.

These are quite amazing covers, capturing almost every detail down to the note.

They were Honeymoon Stitch? That was probably my favorite cover on that particular tribute! Cool.

Actually I'm not sure now, ought to find the CD. Somebody from Red Hot Chili Peppers in it.
