Did the original Technique album ome with a sheet of stickers? Just dug out my old copy and found a sheet containing a couple of stickers on it. The trouble is I can't remember if they came with the record or if I got them else where and put them in the sleeve for safe keeping. Most of my albums sleeves have got bit and bobs in them,reveiws ticket stubbs etc.

The sticker was given away free with NME and was supposed to 'finish' the sleeve, although I've never found anyone to this day that knew what you were supposed to do with it exactly.
Interesting. Maybe we were meant to stick them on the back of the sleeve over the barcode,which was rather foolishly was printed in the centre of the sleeve.
This is what yer do with the stickers. Or what you would have done back in 1989. I recorded the CD on to cassette for use in the motor. Without playing the cassette, from memory the album didn't quite fit all on to one side of a C90 and Dream Attack has to be continued on side 2. The remainder of side 2 you fill up with the remixes and 12"s of the era (Fine Time, Round & Round etc) and stuff like Don't Do It. You then put the Cherub sticker on the front of the cassette case and the 'New Order - Technique' sticker on the back. Thankyou.
EDIT: Just had a listen. The whole album does in fact fit on to one side of a C90. And Don't Do It fits, just, on to the end to fill up that side of the cassette.

The NME sticks were just a promotional item for the promotion of tech alb,hence the other sticker "press technique" on the same promotional sheet.

i know cos when i got my copy of nme i also got 3 other sets from the other copies they had in that branch of wh smiths
was around the time of the fred fact that got a fac no too, was it not?

Stickers given away free and Fred did indeed get a Fac Number. Never managed to get a billboard poster, but I did buy a 6ft poster which fell down more often than Didier Drogba!
I just sold my copy on Ebay (with stickers). Didn't get much for it,but then again I wasnt't sure what to expect for it. I'm in the process of selling hundreds of albums,some of which are on Ebay. At the moment i've got The Fall 'Perverted by Language on a bid of £19.00. Theres also a couple of rare gems from The Wake. I no everyone says that you should never sell your record collection but i have about 1200 albums which apart from anything else weigh a fucking ton and i'm fed up of moving them around.
