OK i know it shoudl be on the buy / trade / sell section but as this is a pretty rare record though it deserved a more high profile listing.

Due to financial difficulty I am prepared to sell my copy of the Joy Divisions “An Ideal for Living EP” this is one of only 1200 pressed and is extremely hard to come by. I would rather see this rare EP sold to a fan of Joy Division rather than a collector so I am advertising it for sale here first to see what response I get. The record is valued at £400.00 but I would be prepared to accept £350.00 for it. I can confirm that the condition of the vinyl is as new (no signs of play, use, marks or scuffing on either side) the picture sleeve does show some signs of wear due to storage. There is a small split on the top edge of the sleeve and some creasing on the corners. The inner sleeve is in perfect condition.

Why cost yourself £200? They're going for much more than £400, at least two this year for >£500, think one went for £560 at that mine's going on fairly soon.

Unless you want to sell it and let someone else make a profit?

Must admit did not realise they were fetching over £400. But if somebody offers £350 then they can have it now I've said thats what it can go for. I've had no PM's yet though

though to be fair two also went just in the last few days for £255 and £112! It varies a lot.

Always wonder whether some of these prices are pumped up

£569.89

Buyer of that must be gutted if he 'wasted' £400

Two more at the £255 and £249 respectively, couldn't find the £112 one

That looks as though someone has been absolutely truthful about the condition and suffered as a result. How many records from the late 70's exist in Ex or even VG condition? Still, mine cost £12 twenty years ago so David Dickinson would think £112 a good return.

These records are FAR overpriced in general.

For £400 quid i would expect an absolute minter of a copy with no sleeve wear and minty, mint vinyl.

it is also true that i have been after one of these records for a long time, but, alas i am not willing to pay top dollar for a copy.

The prices have recently gone through the roof due to all the JD exposure and the recent dvd releases.

I dont know if you have sold it yet ,but if no one from nool is interested then i'd stick it on Ebay.

Dont sell it to rip off .com,they'll only give you a hundred quid for it and they'll put it on their site for a rediculous amount.

Having said that,if you do get desperate, then drop me an email! :evil4:

Only kidding amigo,i couldnt afford it anyways!

Best of luck with the sale anyway pal!

Not sure where you got just over a ton from? That link is nothing to do with me. Sold it for £250 private sale not through ebay

Yes,but due to the credit crunch it is a buyers market.

Which i did tell said gadgi who tried to charge me £750 for the p,c&l German marbled promo!

Said copy of said record went for a LOT less than £750,and quite rightly so for a record thats only worth a ton tops!
