Thanks Old Blue!

Excellent sound quality - I particularly like the version of 'Truth'.

A fantastic piece of history.

Good find - between helpful live show torrenters and bloggers posting impossible-to-finds old dance tracks, I feel like I'm rifling through the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow these days.:shades:

a RAR file is a file containing compressed files. In PC world, we can use winRar to extract files from a Rar, I suppose such software do exist for Mac.

Thanks very much !

Listened to it last night - fantastic sound - the best available of these sessions. First time since the 1980s (when I first heard these sessions) that I have been able to listen properly without being distracted by the lofi recording.

The new track with Rob Gretton on vocals is very interesting but sounds more like the Cabs than New Order to me. Overall though this has to be the best tape find of New Order for many a long year!

It would be great if some arty person could come up with some suitable CD artwork for this tape - it deserves the deluxe treatment I feel.

OK here is my slightly ham fisted attempt at a front sleeve. The graphics and font are after Fortunato Depero (as per Movement). I'll have to go for a lie down before I attempt a back sleeve!

On thyat same blog - under Joy Division bootlegs - is "The Jon Savage Tape". All four tracks have been lifted from the US radio broadcast on Factory Records in January. The giveaway is the short intro count from "Gutz" at the end of "Inside The Line"

OK guys and gals - with the Movement Sleeve in mind this is the best I could knock up for the back :-

I had the same problem.

How do we get part 2?

You need all portions of a RAR file to be able to decompress, but StuffIt automatically unstuffs all parts and pieces them together into files in one folder - therefore, if you have unstuffed part 1, you have unstuffed the whole thing. When I click on the second .rar file, I get the same error. However, the unstuffed folder has everything and it plays just fine. I use a Mac with stuffit expander, so it may be different with PCs

Awesome of you to post the demos. Thanks!

I use WinRAR on my PC and only Homage and the 2 mixes of Dreams Never End can be extracted from part 1. During the extraction, Ceremony was unable to be completed due to the last portion of the song being in part 2.

you should try to update WinRar. I use the version 3.71 and it worked.

i had no problems getting all the songs. (just to let folks know it is possible.)

download both files to the same folder, use the latest WinRAR to uncompress.

i have no idea how it would work in OS X tho.

p.s. I love how after following this band for 20+ years, I still can hear new material.... I had heard bad cassette copies of some of these (Homage in particular) but never this clear, and never heard the Gretton thing.

love it!

Thanks to everybody for their replies but Mick and I had issues with the download of part 2, not the extraction.

I tried downloading again tonight and it worked! Mick, if you haven't got it as of yet, give it another go.
