Got this one today. It's a japanese 7" one sided white label promo. It contains a version that I never knew before, sounds a little as the official 12" vinyl mix but it's different and the running time is 7:52 minutes. It's shorter than the Substance edited version too. Have anybody heard about this promo???
The running time doesn't match anything known, can you rip it and put it up somewhere?

Does it run at 33 or 45? If it's 45 it'll sound awful - 8 minutes is too much music for one side of a 7" single.

What is stamped/written on the cover and the labels? Does it have any record label information and what are run-off groove etchings?
There is also another different tpk one sided wl promo,i have the other one and it has printed/stamped info in japanese on the disc. Will post a pic when i get round to it.
Sorry for resurrecting this old thread, but is there anyway we can get more details on this promo including tracklistings, times and the label that issued this? Perhaps someone could post a Discogs entry?

the item in question was made by Japanese cable radio (Yuusen) for airplay. wonder if this particular one imaged is an acetate or vinyl? Yuusen cleared out their entire back-catalogue of vinyl/acetates about 10 years ago and the market was flooded, but since then they don’t appear very often.

Comparing the text with my JP 12" I'm guessing the label and the lower text on the sleeve both say 'The Perfect Kiss' and 'New Order', but what does the stamp at the top say?

The red stamp says: Instructions regarding handling: ---'Do not use/play except when requested' (Which fits the description by analogue in this thread, that it was an item used by 'Yusen' [cable radio] stations) ---'Because it is easy to get scratched, handle with caution' ---'Do not use record cleaners on this item'(It states the reason why you can't use those cleaners on it, but the text is blurry and hard to read. But reasons aside, that's what it said).
Thanks, that makes sense. I think this is an acetate, hence the instruction about using cleaners on it (which ruin acetates).

I don't really know the rules regarding music on Yusen, but given how copyright issues are strict here (our JASRAC is pretty strict, just like the US RIAA), unless the station was breaking the rules and using bootlegged music, I'd presume the promo was provided to these stations by the record company in Japan that NO were signed on. (They were signed to Nippon Columbia at the time.)
I can't really make the judgement as to whether it is official or unofficial though.
