Okay, it's been mentioned lots of times but I don't think it's been satisfactorily put to bed.

I think Easy E may be right about 'The Bridge' or it may be 'The Bridges'.
As far as I'm aware, it was never released commercially, though I may be wrong.
It is far easier to say it's not N.O. after hearing it and also the rumours - the drum programming is a very limited version of Steve Morris' style - he adds far more on the off beats and varies the rhythm occasionally. The bass doesn't have quite the same amount of effects as Hooky's style. Even so, I reckon it was a jokey thing that found its way out of a studio.
The copy I have is tacked onto the end of N.O. Live at the Hacienda, 03/12/85. I reckon the Love Dance thing surfaced around late '83/early '84 so it was probably inspired by the instrumental bits from PCL.
If anyone wants a copy, let me know - I'll send it to you on audio cassette - the sound quality isn't worth putting it on CD.

Well that just about settles that then.
My memory of the song is still in the eighties, where I found it difficult in 'not' thinking it was the Order. I guess The Bridges were the band accountable for the song.
Pretty good though.
