Cheaney's from Northampton.

Church's also from Northampton.

Loake's from Kettering, of all places.

All absolutely lovely shoes.

This would explain me having heard of none of the above, quite proud of that fact too!

They're not worn by riff-raff, Shug. That would explain why you've not heard of them.

The day a teacher can afford a pair of Cheaney's I'm going to kill myself.

Oh, or become a teacher, natch.

 Touche amigo  Where's Fradders when you want him!?! :nonono:

So do Barney's tassel loafers with tube socks & shorts a la Toronto '85 support or refute the "Good Old Days" argument?

I was an academic, Shug, not a teacher. Very important distinction. However, as I have been unemployed for over a year, I discount myself from numbering amongst either the hordes of trainer-wearing teachers or the shoe-wearing-grown-up-types-with-jobs identified by Mr Jarvis.

I walk barefoot. Keepin' it real like Jesus, motherfuckers.

I hope I am not being rude by asking you this question but will your dad mind if you buy the BL album or see their gigs.

Yes, but ... are they wearing trainers/sneakers or shoes in that pic?

 Of course he won't mind. In fact, the rate he goes on about the music I listen to, I think he would even prefer me seeing Bad Lieutenant than Pearl Jam.

In fact I should bring him with me. We could both get right to the front and stand at the barrier. :thumb:
