Concur with Trainspotting & Four Weddings and a Funeral. But no Sliding Doors??

'Withnai'l should be No 1 and 'Dead Man's Shoes' is better than 'This Is England'

But hey what do I know...

Dead Man's Shoes should've been so much higher, even though, ultimately, it's such a depressing film. Not one I would revisit in a hurry.

Would've had Secrets & Lies at number one, meself.

It is good to see two of Mike Leigh's films make the list:Secrets & Lies & Naked. I was disappointed to see them leave out "Career Girls." That's the movie about the two college friends who bond over their love for the Cure. It is just so true to life.

Was disappointed in that one, having read the book, which as the old saying goes was ten times better (it really is in this instance)

'Secrets and Lies' is that the one where Timothy 'Barry from Auf Wiedersen' Spall is under all the jackets on the bed at a party, and his missus appears in the room and gets a good, shall we say, licking from another bloke on same said bed?

If it is,its a fine movie

Dead Man's Shoes sort of has a NO/JD connection as well - it's got both Paddy Considine and Tony Kebbell in it, both those actors have played Gretton, Considine in 24HPP and Kebbell in Control CTB :bear:

Where the hell is 'Morvern Callar'?? That was the best British movie I've ever seen. 'Happy Go Lucky' was really good too.
