This is tough. Sonic Youth is playing Boston November 23, I think. Actually 2 dates, one with the feelies, the other with cold cave.
LOVE Sonic Youth... saw them in Providence back in 1986 (EVOL) when Kim had black hair. and then dozens of times after that...
I wish BL would play Boston, but NYC should be a blast as well... might even stay for the Pixies, maybe...
We're just rehearsing now. We've got some concerts coming up in about three weeks. We're busy finishing the set. We're coming to America as well, kind of the end of November. We're just playing a few gigs just to get used to it again and we're playing in New York. We're doing our own day and supporting the Pixies, and in Chicago we're doing the same thing, and playing our own dates in Toronto. It's just part of this promo trip really.
makes it sound like there playing on their own shown here. I don't wanna wrestle with pixies fans for tickets. Every big show in the city sells out in the matter of minutes.
i'm having a problem getting excited about the shows for whatever reason. i know i'll busy that week and who knows if i can even make it.

i think the pixies tix already pretty much sold out, but you can get them second hand via the usual sources (stubhub etc) ...
but, yeah, they are pricey, so far i have seen $100 per ticket on most sites.
but i don't even know which date to even buy yet, even if i was to buy a ticket. i'd pay $100 to see sumner play live tho.... you never know when he will quit the live thing and go year round on the yacht....
sad thing is i would probably watch a few pixies tunes and then exit.
