What's the oddest, rarest, smelliest or most treasured Joy Division item you own?

Where did you get it?

What does it mean to you?

Interesting times may await the best responses...

Didn't someone on here once say that they had Ian Curtis's kitchen table?

I need to speak to him...

30 legendary gigs Joy Division, Birmingham University, May 2nd, 1980. The band's last ever gig. Ian Curtis stumbled offstage towards the closing of the gig due to his increasingly uncontrollable epilepsy. The band played on without him and he re-emerged for final song 'Digital'. The gig also featured 'Ceremony', which went on to become New Order's debut single. Pic: Rex Features

I have a stone in my garden :uhoh: :uhoh:

Not really, don't lynch me.

The only JD things I have are CD's and a poster. Bit rubbish really. Am tempted by the oven gloves every time I see them.

If anyone is after a JD/NO artifact I noticed that there is a Peter Hook signed guitar available on the HMV Pure rewards scheme. Apparently you need 600,000 points to get it though which must equate to spending about £6,000. Probably better to go buy a guitar yourself and take it round to his house for a signature.

I've not got anything that counts as rare by a long mile but I had my Heart & Soul boxset on preorder at the local shop back in 97' (paid full price, must have been bonkers) and I've got my FAC vinyls and the first runs of the many books that've been put out.

Thing I treasure the most is a set of glossy JD photos a teacher of mine matted and framed back in 1994 before I had internet and a quality printer of my own. Never had a cooler teacher with such great taste in music. :shades:

My most precious thing on JD is an exciting sensation I felt when I heard Closer and Substance for the first time. That sensation is deep in my memory and it's recalled by itself from time to time. Quite a welcome feeling like any other great memory.

Ticket stubs, photos you took, things you made yourselves?

Jemma: see me after class.

nothing personal unfortunately for JD (but have various early NO stuff) do have 2 scrapbooks of NME cuttings at start of JD and have meant to scan/share with all...

so it would have to be the komakino flexi given to me by the nice man upstairs on the singles' counter HMV market street manchester, a sordide sentimentale and earcom which I played last Christmas to hear the other non JD tracks again!

Isn't anyone going to ask why I'm interested in hearing about your old crap?

Surely one of the Steve's must have some good stuff?

Any sign of that kitchen table?

Well I found a Golden Ticket in a Wonka Chocolate Bar and took a magical trip into Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. During my journey, I found out that Mr. Wonka is a huge Joy Division fan. When I won the grand prize at the end of the tour, Mr. Wonka gave me the Footage of Ian doing dishes, and I was told it was for me and me only, but I was allowed to talk about it!

Apparently Mr Wonka has run out of innovative ideas for his prizes  :wtf: if that's the best he can do.
