Just got back from said exhibition and Q&A. According to the lens-smith...
Blue Monday DID make money - all a Wilson myth about losing money on each one.
Wilson wasn't at the Sex Pistols gig
Control was like watching 4 hours of HIS images (he really doesn't like Anton and I was so tempted to ask him where he shot the Underground picture just to wind him up!)
The Hulme Bridge JD picture was his idea - the band wanted a shot of them looking south from the bridge and at a bus stop because they wanted to escape Manchester to go to London.
I think the time has come for an end to all this "cash-stalgia". Who else is left in the wings to cash in on having been around this lot? Ian's former Manager from the Civil Service? Hooky's boss at Salford docks? "My Life with a Music Mogul" by William the Dog?
