I wonder if they'll sell all the 1000 copies! Yes I'd have liked the T shirt, yes I'd have liked the 7", but 55 pounds, come on... and I don't need the fookin vinyl, I barely have time to listen to music from iTunes or iPod when outside!

Well I must be a sad case because I bought the japanese version with the extra tracks and its been in the car cd player non-stop for a few days now and is the best thing about at the moment. Few tracks stand out and yes we all know there could have been more bass but on the whole:thumb:

Looking forward to Heaven and the offical release of the remixes.

I wonder if its worth the extra trouble to try to get ahold of the Japanese import.....hmmmmm. I'm just afraid if I order it from so far away,it'll be damaged by the time it gets to the Canadian east coast. Now I don't know which to get, the UK version or the Japanese one.

It could have been 69 if so many people hadn't shared it online.

Being away from home, I haven't investigated the boxset. What tracks are on the 7" single in there - is that just the Sink Or Swim 7"?

:smoking:

From the NOOL front page:

"A limited number of the Never Cry Another Tear Deluxe Edition will be made available in the U.S., and includes a copy of the CD, a 14-track, deluxe double 180g vinyl of the album, a 7" vinyl featuring the tracks "Sink or Swim" and "Dynamo," a deluxe 12" booklet, an artwork print, and a special Bad Lieutenant t-shirt."

Erm... exclusive 7"? I'm still waiting for my box set to arrive, mind, and it seems nobody else has got theirs yet, so hopefully we'll be pleasantly surprised?

I think the problem with the album is there are maybe too many tracks of a specific style I.e. jangly guitar rock. This may have proven a bit too repetitive for some New Order fans especially those who tend to prefer the more electronic stuff. Fair enough really, I miss Barney doing a good electro track as much as anyone.

I only just noticed the other day there are fifteen tracks on the Japanese issue so that's a hell of a lot of songs for one release... I think the most ever tracks for any New Order related album excluding compilations? Correct me if I'm wrong.

About six or seven tracks on the album are on heavy rotation with me at the moment. I genuinely think they're really good. These would probably be Twist of Fate, Poisonous Intent, Walk On Silver Water, Split the Atom, This Is Home and Falling Trees. Surprisingly I can take or leave Sink or Swim, I've probably heard it too much.

Don't mean to continue the getting-tedious NO comparisons but out of all of them Poisonous Intent would've been a brick shithouse of a New Order single with a Hooky bassline running through it and the keyboards turned up. It would've beat any single from WTFSC anyway. As it stand it's still really good, Steve's drumming stands out in particular.

The rest I certainly don't dislike but don't revisit them as much as the ones I've named.

It's a good album IMO :thumb: I like it.
