I'm 60 pages into Hooky's book and I can't help feeling, even though we've had 2 recent films....this is such good tragicomedy it's worth a whole flaming tv series. I'm sure some actors from 24PP & Control would reprise their roles for a laugh. Pitch it somewhere between 24 Hour Party People and Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights and it'd be a massive hit surely?

It's amazing what gets made in the name of nostalgia i.e. no great story but hey let's laugh at people in old fashioned clothes...... I sat though Micro Men on BBC4 the other night - a 90 minute mildly comic biopic about the early 80s micro computer race in Britain - which a lot of people seemed to have liked - but in truth had no interesting events in it whatsoever apart from one mild altercation in a pub. If that can get made with licence payers money then surely The Hacienda Must Be Televised.

I was quite shocked to find out that Hooky & Bernard hadn't been getting on as long ago as '84 :brow:

....& the Ibiza sidenote from '88 is a blast
