Listened to the album a few times now and its no bad, but I think the best tract is Split the Atom, which I think is only available as an extra track on i-tunes. Any one else agree? Nice mix of Vocals between Jake & Barney.

I haven't heard it, Poogie, mate.

Has it got any electronica on it?

If not, I'm sticking with my original choice of Poisonous Intent as the best thing on the album. Hey, bad man!

it has got a mix of jangley guitars & Syths & electronica on it, typical bad barney lyrics on it about standing infront of a speeding train etc.. was the one track that grabbed me straight away which is why I thought it was strange that it was a non album track !

IMO you could waltz* quite well to it

I don't mean that negatively, drunkenly 'waltzing' in between and around tables in pubs can be quite exhilarating!

*I mean general arsing about waltzing 'style' could be rumba or cha-cha for all I know:shrug:

I'll take your word for it, Poogie.

I hope they play it live cos I can't be fcut to listen to any more of that stuff just yet.

It's OK, IMO but I don't really think it's the best on the album. But I guess everyone has different tastes.

I personally like "Twist of Fate", "Poisonous Intent", "Walk on Silver Water", and "Higher Wider Deeper".

At the end of the song you can hear the train rush by.

Btw who is the producer? He has done excellent work on this album.

I still need to hear Split The Atom & Higher Wider Deeper, but from the talk people are making here they are pretty good. I wonder if BL's set list will include any of these non-album tracks.

I'll check them out when they show up on a US download service then. I hope they aren't as forgettable as most of NCAT.

Thanks again for the help RM.

I guess Bernard will never make another track like Behind Closed Doors, but these "b-sides" should definitely have been album cuts.

Haha, well, they sound good from the website clips. :)

Higher Wider Deeper reminds of Bloc Party, I suppose Bernard does listen to some newer music.

It's not available on the Canadian Itunes. Is it on the actual Bad Lieutenant CD? Because, I downloaded off of Itunes in Canada & only 13 tracks were available. I guess,Split the Atom is the missing one.

The Australian iTunes has the full 15 songs which is nice I guess. I haven't seen the actual CD in stores yet

I like the one about trees, which I listened to twice last night.

I was quite enjoying this as a 10 track album when I first heard it but the 5 other songs, including the bonus tracks, have ended up diluting the experience for me. Split the Atom is the best of a very sorry bunch - Falling Trees is very cringey IMO.

Am I the only one who likes RUNNING OUT OF LUCK? No one seems to mention that track... Perhaps I'm just getting too romantic / sappy in my old age but that's the standout track to me on the album....

I'll duck as insults and odd emoticons are thrown my way.
