New Order itunes Originals

I've been digging through the NO online music tab and forums a bit, but haven't been able to find anything on the 'New Order itunes Originals'. Its some re-recorded JD and NO songs, interspersed with some short interviews.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this 'new recording'? It looks like the interviews are the only thing new and the re-recordings might be for completists only as they are for the most part true to the original (from what I can gather the 30 second preview). Are there any of Barney's spontaneous "whoo's" in there, fr'instance? Unfortunately, this actually might be the last thing the band recorded (as opposed to recording new songs).

The spoken bits are good and the specially-recorded tracks are a pretty good record of the songs as they were performed at the 05 and 06 gigs without crowd noise and, as you say, Barney's whoops and whistles.

Worth seeking out.

the recorded tracks are quite good, and as the poster above said, are similar to live performances of the time. If you like Run Wild (I do) and I say if because lots of folks do not, the version offered is stellar, and builds upon the LP version.

Thanks guys. Sounds likes its worth a few bucks to download. The only thing I'll be missing is Barney's groovy dance moves.

This is a great piece: The interviews don't tell us anything we probably didn't already know, but it's fun to hear them all nonetheless. I love the unique versions of the songs offered here, especially Love Vigilantes, Bizarre Love Triangle and Waiting For The Sirens' Call. The end with Bernard's reflection and Love Will Tear Us Apart is a touching moment, especially in hindsight. As some of the reviewers on iTunes have said, this is very likely the last we'll ever hear of New Order.

Because of the lyrics seem to refer to a child, I think that's why - not that Barney and Hooky didn't have kids, but with the health problems with Steve & Gillian's it seemed a natural assumption.
