Bottom Heavy

Hi.

Has anyone ever heard Danny Tenaglia's track called "Bottom Heavy" ? It is supposedly a remix of "World (The Price Of Love)"...

Tenag played in a Manc club lately, and "he announced that as New Order were from Manchester, he wanted to play a remix that he had done 9 years ago of the second single from the album “Republic” the song was called “The Price Of Love”. He said that Warner Brothers asked him to remix it, he did the remix but New Order turned it down because they weren’t happy with it". So he turned it into “Bottom Heavy”.

Never heard it. Is it good?

By the way, that would mean that the remixes that are released are chosen by New Order themselves.

I believe this is the case with most major artists. Surely they have the power of veto for tracks bearing their own name. The remixes may be brokered by the likes of Pete Tong (for better or worse), but I'd imagine that the band have the final say. This is the case with Depeche Mode as I understand it.

Believe there's quite a few unreleased remixes of Republic tracks lurking in the London vaults. Can't say Tenaglia's style is really suited to New Order though so I'm not that surprised his remix got scuppered.
