Hey now what cha doin' with that UK mini-tour?

I should be in for Electric Ballroom but those tickets don't seem to be on sale yet.

Not a bad choice for single, it's a good song; a beefed up radio mix could be just the ticket but I suspect we'll be getting the standard album version. I would've gone for a double A side "This Is Home / Poisonous Intent"

There is also a Sink or Swim "Digital Bundle" due Feb 15 according to BL's official site.

Excellent! Got my Liverpool ticket.

Might go Preston as well, we will see.

You're only 100 miles from Sheffield. Anyway, don't know why you're complaining - you don't drive, sit in the back and go to sleep!

I really thought that they would have made it to North America by March or April 2010 at least. I don't know why they don't try coming to Canada at least. It can't be that difficult to get into....like the States, could it?

It's hard to trust Bernard and US tour dates, as yet unscheduled could stay that way. Here's to hoping they come through though.

Bad Loo has rumored April 2010 dates.....

Was he right????? Guess we will find out!

I thought Summer Days, This Is Home or Running Out Of Luck would be the next single.

I like Twist Of Fate but I dont really think its a single(IMO). Something more catchy or radio friendly might have seen them get more airplay/exposure.

Oh well, good luck to them.

It really counts as 3 US tour dates. If you want to see Bad Lieutenant in the US, plan to go to SF, New York or Chicago. The Coachella Festival is a huge event, but you can't get close to the stage unless and plan on camping out all day long, listening to band after band after band. This is not a one day event, you basically have to live in Coachella for 3-4 days. It is more organized than Woodstock, but really, not much. If you are coming to America, fly up to SF, enjoy the band, and the weekend in a great city. Coachella, might sound nice, but it's mostly standing, sweating, walking around, buying overpriced water and peanut butter sandwiches, and listening from a distance. Maybe it is nice for the band, and all the media attention, but if you want to see Bad Lieutenant, seem them in a club.

Umm, have you ever actually been to Coachella?

They won't be playing on either of the main stages. They'll be in one of the smaller tents and performing opposite bigger names, so getting right up front to see them won't be hard at all. Last year I saw F*cked Up and Friendly Fires - 2 of the biggest buzz bands - right against the front barrier, and that was showing up to the tent minutes before they went on stage. Even for the main stage acts it's not hard to claim a good spot because there are 5 bands performing at any given time.

We rent a house in Palm Springs and go back and forth every day, so it's not living on the polo fields for 3 days. Show up around 1-2pm, wear lots of sunscreen, and the sun dips below the mountains around 5. Considering bands are on until midnight you'll spend more time under a night sky than the sun.

Water is $2 a bottle because they don't want you to get dehydrated. Pick 10 discarded bottles up off the grass and turn them in for a free one. They also have every type of food you can imagine, with nary a peanut butter sandwich in sight.

It's very well organized and not overcrowded. The vibe is friendly and laid back. It doesn't sound like you've ever been there.

Actually, I went to see New Order at Coachella in what, 2005? I missed them in Oakland, so I decided to see them there. I did not get a house, I camped out with a buddy. These were not luxerious conditions. For the most part, everyone was very friendly. But when it came time to see NO, I might as well been on the moon. Basically, it was a whole lot of work. I am so thrilled that Bad Lieutenant are coming to the US. I hope everyone gets a chance to see them. I plan to fly up to the Bay Area myself. I am just saying that if you actually want to "see" Bad Lieutenant, you are better off going to one of the other three dates instead of Coachella.

Perhaps some (or all) of their Coachella gig will be webcast (even if they're not on the main stage)? That would be a nice little bonus.

I'm getting too old for the festivals...I doubt I'll drive down to Austin this year for Austin City Limits...even though we already have two tickets (I'll probably end up giving them to a friend of mine, who is young enough to do that kind of shit)...and I'm not flying to SF just to see BadLoo...I'm lazy...you kids should know that by now...

There seems quite a bit of interest for 'The Loo' on the Coachella forums. Plus, they're quite high up the bill on the Saturday night according to some preliminary timetable that's made up of artist confirmations/MySpace leaks/guess work.

Nick King wrote: As opposed to New Order, I doubt whether Bad Loo will be that popular? Could be wrong, though...

I don't think New Order were particularly popular at Coachella. Totally static crowd bar PompeyOrder jumping around a bit, much to everyone-around-us' apparent disgust.

And I kept telling some kid, "Yeah, they'll play Temptation, they always play Temptation." And, for once, they fcuking didn't.

They were second on the bill to Nine Inch Nails - trying to extricate ourselves from the crowd crushing forward for the headline act was probably the most 'interesting' part of the festival.

That is all I was trying to say about Coachella. I'm sure they will get some media attention, but a majority of the people watching will not be NO/Bad Loo fans. Single billed shows allow for "fans" to enjoy a band they like.

uhm...I don't think Americans like to move at a concert...we might work off a quarter-pounder or two if we did that...

Anyone thinking about going to see Bad Loo in Coachella, please know that you cannot buy a one day pass, you have to buy the full 3 day pass. In years past, they have always sold one day passes just before the show, but according to the LA Times, no such luck this year. Ouch.

Fantastic gig in Sheffield tonight. They played about 5 songs off the album and then a load of old stuff including Tighten Up, Out Of Control, Crystal, Temptation, Ceremony, Transmission...

Barney also said they could have played BLT and Blue Monday.

He flicked his plectrum into the crowd and it hit me in the face, so thanks for that Barney. He asked for it back when he realised he didn't have any more!

He's singing really well, but still forgets the lyrics - especially the middle bit of transmission!

All in all, a great night :)

edit: forgot about Regret and they could have played Atmosphere too

Thinking of going to Electric Ballroom on Thurs but don't really think it's worth 24.00 after fees. Anyone got a spare ticket they want to get rid of for about 15 quid?

What a quality night especially when Regret came on. A good crowd and I found myself dancing (and drinking:spit: )the night away.

Hello to the three young ladies who had to put up with myself and a mate for a good part of the night.....erm too much drink and high fives and hi to a couple of random Canadians who took us for a tour of London for a beer and yes we did miss our last train. £80 or so £ later we got home:cry:

Looking forward to the next one already....

No Idea if this has been mentioned before. But Twist of Fate has been remixed.

No Fate Remix ["more like the original but with a DJ-friendly 4/4 beat"] No Fate Remix Radio Version Led's Twist Again Remix Synth of Fate Remix ["a synthpop DJ version similar in style to the Sink or Swim Waterwing Remix']

Sounds better than the original.
