Ok, this is of no real interest but, just for fun, tell us your most treadured vinyl rarities. But, and that's very important, things you bought at a regular price at the time, no collectors paid with huge cheques.

Well, I have a "Transmission" 12" with a different sleeve than the one on this site. The green sleeve "Ceremony". "Thives Like Us" and "Murder". Blue Monday" of course... the "Temptation" 7"... True Faith 7"... Run 2 12" ...

Loads of them... Pointless, as I said... :)

Every 7" and 12" and album on vinyl, with lots of rare material on vinyl, tape and cd.

Of interest in the 'standard but strange version collection bought at normal price' is this lot:

Ceremony 12" Gold/White and Green cover Everything's Gone Green 7"s x 8 (all different coloured sleeves) Blue Monday 10" Acetate Blue Monday 12" with 'The Beach' as Blue Monday and vice-versa Blue Monday 12" non-floppy disk cover (1983) The Perfect Kiss 12" with 'pink' inner sleeve Run 2 12" USA Mini-album Original Low-Life with tracing paper outer Brotherhood original and 'metallic blue' cover

fucking loads.

I have most of what New Order ever released, but funny enough I don't have Run2 because I always refused to pay what some guy was demanding for it (45$ CAN) -- which Nicolas paid on his own eventually and re-sold it later.

My most "precious" New Order items must be:

  1. A vynil BOOTLEG named "Dreams Are Over" which was a 500 copies limited edition and features the infamous Blue Monday version including Divine's Love Reaction. Which makes me think that I am about to sell this on EBay.

  2. Not very rare I guess, but still, it has to be the white cardboard limited edition single release of 1963.

  3. I was forgetting this: another bootleg! Everybody seems to have ELECTRONIC ECSTACY CD, but mine is called "Europe 1993", has the same recording, with a better name and a better looking sleeve.

Seb.

the one that i remember most is the substance boxed cassette, walked into wh smiths one day months after the album had come out & there was one copy there. little bit shabby, but nevertheless was the pukka item. purchased straightaway. rarely played as had the cd & gatefold substance anyways. speaking of which i bought the dat of technique knowing would never get a player... daft rilly!

Komakino bootleg - Live at the Lyceum. Warsaw album on red vinyl with 'free' 7 inch. NO Interview album + interview CD

I have a CD single of Touched by the Hand of God.. I never saw this elsewhere, I saw it ONCE (at least in Montreal)

I have all the digipaks from the Republic era, and the 1963 one too, if that's worth something.

I saw once Round & Round on 7" vinyl, didn't buy it...

I'm not a big collector.

I'm not a huge collecteor myself. What I want is the songs. But I'm glad I bought those things at the time. That's why I named this topic POINTLESS contest anyway... :)

Nothing super special, but I'm happy to have an Australian pressing of Temptation on 7" as well as the FACTUS 8 ep, the Radio Order bootleg, all 12" singles from Blue Monday to Round & Round (Aus pressings also). I'm pretty fond of my tapes too (ah, the 80's!!)- Hacienda '83, and a ripper of a JD bootleg called 'Gruftgesange', which I think means 'songs from the grave' in German. CTD
