Bet it will sell for about a tenner. 
cue: endless moaning about how shit the mastering is/will be, the artwork, the tracks they could have had on it etc etc blah blah....
In theory, if EPs and flexi disc tracks were included, the box could contain:
An Ideal For Living Transmission She's Lost Control/Atmosphere (Licht Und Blindheit) Komakino Atmosphere/She's Lost Control Love Will Tear Us Apart Atmosphere '88 Love Will Tear Us Apart '95 Peel Session 1 Peel Session 2
Plus more if a "new" single was included - the "2010" version of something, plus 7" and CD single pressings.
Depends how it's going to be packaged and what's considered worth including. Obviously, the above includes a fair bit of repetition, but that might be "justified" by new sleeve designs, etc...

It's gonna be difficult to beat them, I suppose.There is no need for that. It's material that we all have. Now, if they included unreleased material aswell it would be worth it; say gigs from 1977 and 1978, or other material that nobody has as bonus tracks! If they release that, it would be a fucking joke. Also, we are getting better versions of the singles from the 'Recycle Series" then what would appear in that singles box-set. New art-work doesn't mean shit to me................
I hear the sound of a barrel being roundly scraped again... new artwork? Really reaching for an incentive to buy there. As the albums box set went for £150ish at the time I would imagine this sort of item would go for £75 minimum. Possibly £50.
Instead of this, it would be nice to see a properly handled deluxe reissue of Substance 1977-1980 on CD with perhaps another archived gig and a handful of demo recordings as a second disc. Perhaps even a third disc (DVD) with the Plan K footage. Even from a record-label-tightness point of view this has got to be more cost effective to manufacture than a convoluted vinyl box set with expensive artwork reproductions etc. etc.
It would redress the fact that Warners chose to ignore that Factory compilation in the 2007 reissues so I would imagine there's a market for it. Also, it would also be more affordable for each and every fan rather than setting a price for a curiosity of an item that would reserve an appeal for die-hard fans only.
Is that too much sense for the label tho?
Gimme Substance! Or give me ... um, something??? Already have the vinyl blokes (does anyone think before they market?)

Nor am I, but it's probably next. Along with some obscure "new" factory releases. I suppose theres a reason some things stay in vaults.
The article only said 'possibly' so it's not confirmed, right? Even if Hooky wants to go about releasing it, no offence to him, but he can't do that all by himself, though. I'd rather see the Freebass album than more cashing in on JD.
Well said Tucker. I would love to see a Substance reissue, with one or two bonus disc's with unreleased tracks. That release would fit nicely with the other reissues.

Why the fuck don't members of the record company read these kinds of forums, where you can find true fans; their market. I'm scratching my head on this. I bet if they do include some bonus tracks on that Vinyl Box-Set, they would release the Factory July 13, 1979 gig again, for the third time........lol. What the fuck!
MP3 only releases and vinyl only releases are very upseting and contains some shit sound. I want some CD, that's all. I'm waiting the day when we'll have to buy crap YouTube files instead of DVD.
Let's face it: the whole record industry is changed into a farce ... the only thing that's important to it is m.o.n.e.y, i-tunes and shoddy mp3's. They will do almost everything these days to fuck up a back cataloque ... as long as New Order are in the hands of Rhino, I don't give a fuck for it, or have any interest in another screwed re-release of it ...

True but at least he (Mozzer) still comes out with new albums - good ones if you like them - the occasional brilliant b-side and tours regularly. Plus his recent b sides album "Swords" was 18 tracks of obscure stuff supplemented with a new track or two fans hadn't heard. All for a reasonable price and widely available. Rather than this proposed vinyl boxset of stuff we as JD fans have three or four times over presumably priced in the region of 75-100 quid.
It's time for the JD/NO reissue machine to chuck the fans something useful and we might not have heard before rather than the same old tired shit that we've had forever more since Heart & Soul in 1997. We've got it and had it for some time, something new please. If there's nothing to add then nothing's required

I'll be taking care of that over at Recycle soon.
what should be done is to have a remaster of Substance plus a release of Here Are The Young Men on DVD with all the live footage that was included in the Joy Division documentary & also include their second TV appearance where they play "She's Lost Control" The bonus disc of the Substance reissue should be the Bowden Vale gig or the Nashville Ballroom gig 9/79.
Or what they can do is put the Love Will Tear Us Apart Non-Overdub video on the DVD as well. The best thing to do is to just release Pictures In My Mind, a remastered Ceremony rehearsal, & the complete In A Lonely Place.
