I vaguely remember this being quite a good laugh. Bernard being in good spirits on this show (back in 1990 I think). I don't suppose anybody has this as a video file they could post here please? I'd love to see it again.
I've looked on YouTube and the like, to no avail.

I remember Tony Wilson being on it, and Candy Flips version of Strawberry Fields was one of the tracks, weird what you remember!

My memory is remarkably good for this one, cos I was babysitting for ma wee cousin Eddie (Stubbsy on here) who is nowadays about to become a father for the second time. It was aired the same night as Benn vs Eubank I. 18th November 1990, Pat Cash & Bootsie Collins were also on it. Benn's Stand & Fight single was one of the songs. "It's just another rap record" was the catchphrase at school for the next month or two 
Will put it on ma blog when I find it.

I think they also reviewed She's So High by Blur.I thought Bernard described them as "we are weird."

Yeah, remember seeing this, but all I can remember is Bernard saying about somebody..."They're a bit 'We are weird'" think he did quote signs with his hands (?) and raised his eyebrows in a knowing way.....but nobody knew what he meant and he had to elaborate.
I have been occasionally using the said phrase ever since!

tony wilson wasnt on that particular show, he was on another episode with mr ryder and that bird from brookie everyone fancied, but i went off her after that show, seemed a bit annoying. if i remember rightly bernard was wearing a gio goi t shirt. and now that i think on it, babs windsor was also on the show with tony and shaun. tony was talking his usual pish. i know im jumping all over the place, again im just in from a 12 hour night shift so a bit fecked, but pat cash was a bit of a twat on the show with barney, complained about how out radio wasnt as good as in america, i never liked him and his shite bandanas when he was playing tennis (pat cash, not barney, though i think barney wore a bandana when he came on stage with electronic at the citites in the park gig, so maybe there was a bit of influence from pat there, shudder.
st ettiene were also reviewed doing lets kiss and make up on the show with tony. great tune.
tony more or less TOLD jools that he MUST be delighted that there was so much italian house piano in the charts, jools looked suitabley unimpressed with italian piano.

I knew who Pat Cash was at the time, but I'd never heard of Bootsie Collins before......or after. Was he in the Village People? 
Bootsy was bass player of James Brown and Parliament-Funkadelic. you can also see him in the video from Deee-Lite's "Groove Is in the Heart". and according to Wiki he's also a producer. one of the bands he produced was called Freekbass

What do we think Bernard has taken before the show, or is his strange behaviour Pernod influenced?! He just seems so out of place with those 'pop stars', I feel he's almost snubbed for being a normal guy.
