Birmingham Tower Ballroom Oct 2nd 1986

First time i'd ever seen em "in the flesh" Think it was Sooner Than You Think they started with.No Sooner then though i couldn't see them as i ended up a few moments in feet unable to touch the floor as as was squashed up high facing the opposite way to the stage against my will .Fucking mayhem.

Manchester G-Mex '88 - started out at the front, by Ceremony the wave had carried us mid court...

Reading '93 - It seemed like the end of an era... it was... but what a gig, they were slick & the pit was very sweaty... this is a young man's game... Decked someone for elbowing me in the face during Temptation....

Manchester Apollo '98 - The Return... welcome back home... getting too old for this down the front lark...

Reading 93... Was decked by some brainless football hooligan after accidentally elbowing him in the face during Temptation... But that was nothing compared to the mosh pit in my tent afterwards when I screwed the offenders girlfriend. All's well that ends well.

Hacienda,Dec '85,first show,first song...AIIWIW...I was 18...almost killed me!! Welcome to New Order live!! Needless to say,I was on the balcony for the 2nd show,learnt my fookin' lesson! :nod:

Manchester Apollo 2001 was so mental I had to do the walk of shame round the side, on the positive though, the bar was empty and I got a beer in seconds and watched Temptation from the side laughing at everyone on here getting murdered.

T in The Park 2006 - crowd was bang up for it, me and John were at the side of the stage with the ladies, but had to make a break for the pit after a couple of songs, I was swiftly introduced to Jarvo's elbows and a very sweaty Gordy. Great craic for the whole gig.

Manchester Move 2001 I can remember being down the front with Baldrick and the poor soul nearly passed out, maybe that had something to do with Rocket jumping into him. DoN and Major were down with us and Uncly John actually left to go to the bar which was miles back and came back with 4 full pints. Now that's magic.

Honorary shout outs for Finsbury 02 (Jeff was so dazed we had to take him to the sidelines) & Reading 98 (so mad I ended up on some lads shoulders and nowhere near the front where I started from)

Finsbury Park Super Tent 87. Lasted about 5 mins, then took shelter off to one side.

It got very 'lively' after the Bradford gig in 86, due to a combination of Bradford, Leeds and Manchester 'gig-goers' not getting on at all well!

Thankfully, the audience became a lot more 'friendly' around 88!
