Had a superb night last night. Went to Deaf institute to see Cold Cave. Come back from the bog and me mates talking to Steve Morris at the bar. My mate was playing it cool when I rushed in and said you are my fucking hero. Steve was there to see the suppot Factory Floor.

What a sound bloke took half hour out to talk to us, very funny and entertaining man. Later on at the gig spoke again and met Gillian, who is also very nice and Gillians sister. They signed my ticket stub and signed it to me my girlfirend and daughter. Seemed a very happy couple still. Steve said there would be another 'The other two' album.

The gig was brilliant both Factory Floor who are a manchester band (electronic music with vocalist and a treated guitsr effects and an excellent live drummer. Highly recommned to check them out. Cold cave who I love anyway were excellent, short but brilliant set with no encore.

Asked steve if he goes to many gigs, this was his 2nd in 20 years the other being Fuck Buttons. Into really good music.

The venue is the best one I've been in for years. highly recommended.

What a brillant night only about 100 people there. Two brilliant bands and meeting 2 of your heroes on the same night....... priceless.

Cool.

Steve needs to get out more. Maybe playing in clubs with Bad Lt as the tour drummer has made him more comfortable in going to see shows.

I'm a bit jealous. I did meet Steve once but it was literally a quick photo and an even quicker chat. Always wanted to meet Gillian. Apparently she was sat in the audience when I met Steve. Wish I'd known, I'd have ran over and maithered her!

Gig was Monday night so don't be too hard on yourself. Steven seems to be into really good electornic music. he has remixed the new factory floor 12". Remix not out yet but the original I have and is very good. Like Plastikman mixed with Nu-wave. Factory Floor I think have also toured with the Fuck Buttons so there are obviously some link here. Deaf institute plays some great music, was playing Loveless LP by my MBV as I walked in, also played some Animal Collective etc, wish I lived closer I'd go more often

Omg! That is cool that you got to hang out with Steven Morris. How cool is that! And meeting Gillian on top of that! Wow is all I can say.

Well Steve would have seen Factory Floor at his own gigs as they were the support band for Bad Lieutenant (at least they were for Camden Electric Ballroom gig). And I also caught Factory Floor supporting Fuck Buttons recently, just down the road from Electric Ballroom at KOKO. So yeah that's your connection.
