Brotherhood - "Live"

For those who didn't see New Order live in the 1980s, you might be a bit puzzled by the beginning of this "gig". Persevere though.

Power, Corruption & Lies - "Live"

Entertaining listening to Bernard and Hooky getting annoyed with a boisterous and at times, aggressive audience.

Please note: "Ecstasy" isn't included as it was never played live by New Order.

Same deal as before.

I've stuck two extra tracks on the end as an "Encore".

None of the tracks are "commercially" available as far as I'm aware.

They're taken from gigs at:

Irvine Meadows 1989, Blossom Music Center 1989, SEC Glasgow 1989, Lake Compounce Park 1989, MEN Arena 1998

You can download it free after a 60 second wait then unzip it with Winrar or Winzip (or similar) as one file (tracks not split).

It's nice to hear what Hooky's basslines would have sounded like on the album if it had been produced differently with them higher in the mix.

Thanks v. much Chris.

I voted for Movement, even though it's far from my favorite NO album. For one, I think it would sound good live (as opposed to Republic, or evfen some of the tracks on Technique). For another, I think it would be interesting to hear this over again, since it was there first album, and their sound changed so much after this. In particular, I'd like to hear "updated" Barney vocals for this album. I think he's much improved as a singer since that first album.

Republic,

As the climate now matches the band climate then. Wouldn't you pay to see Barney harass Phil during young offender? I can also imagine Hooky would sit around and trudge about during half the album. Never did hear the "modern" live version of Ruined In A Day so that'd be something to look forward to.
