I have literally just joined this forum. Hello to you all. I have been a New Order/Joy Division fan or over 20 years having discovered them thanks to Annie Nightingale the radio dj playing Bizarre Love Triangle on the radio. Have never been lucky enough to see them live though but saw Hooky on his Unknown Pleasures tour recently. It was great and I met the man himself. I think they are one of the best bands on the planet and I look forward to chatting to my fellow NO/JD devotees. (apologies if I've posted this in the wrong place).:)

Hi Pablo I'm 5ft 2 - why do you ask? and to Andrew Sayer - I enjoyed Unknown Pleasueres night and was really excited about meeting Hooky. As far as I can see meeting one member of New Order is better than not having met any of them. I would still really like to meet the rest of the band (including Gillian even though I know she is not in the band anymore)as this band means a lot to me and they have given me much pleasure from their FANTASTIC music. And I really really really would have loved to have met Ian Curtis but that is just impossible!! But hey a girl can dream!!!!!!!!!!:)

Ha Ha Ha you boys are so cheeky!!!I thought there must be an ulterior motive for the height question. Have there not been many new female members recently? although I can't believe that. Although I remember Bernard Sumner saying in an interview once that he thought NO fans were predominantely male and 'spotty students or football fans'. I am neither - I hate football so will have to create a new catagory of NO fan just for little old me. Not that I mind being the odd one out. Where I used to work all the women in my team liked Take That, Boyzone, Westlife - you know the usual dross. So imagine their horror when I pitch up and cover my desk with pictures of: Bernard Sumner in a pair of little shorts and not much else (and very nice he looked to). My colleagues were disgusted and told me so but did I care - NOPE! You see its like this - I had been touched by the hand of god (excuse the pun) and they hadn't. Their idols are boys singing crap tunes and my idol was a man singing great tunes - spot the difference. My manager understood because he liked Kraftwerk - another great band. He lent me their album Autobahn on one occasion. and yes Julio I am a JD fan and I remember going to a record fair once and finding a copy of An Ideal for Living 12' with the scaffolding sleeve. God I so wanted to buy it but I couldn't afford it at the time - think it was about £60/£70. Was so gutted. I help this beautiful object in my hand for 10 seconds before I realised I would have to put it back. God life is so unfair sometimes. Well better go as now at work and I've rambled on long enough. I've only been a member of this for a few days and you will all think I am mad (yup) and even madder about JD and NO (double yup!) so bye for now until I log on again - ttfn (thats ta ta for now if you didn't know!):)
