Does this mean he'll no longer spray slogans/messages across the speaker cab?

I hope not. If so, someone has to start a thread with his 'greatest hits' surely?

I can recall:

'Wiving Wegends' on the Jonathon Woss show, taking the piss out of Wossy's speech impediment.

'Watch Yer Handbags'

'Salford Rules'

'Valhalla' after one of the Vikings passed away.

Can't remember anymore off the top of my head, there has to be quite a few over the years.

It's a great bit of kit that Trace Elliot rig. I recently dug out my old Trace Elliot GP12 SMX that i've had for years but forgotten about(!!?? I've had quite a few amps over the years... ask the missus!) and was shocked at how good it was.... I'm in the process of building a a big fuck off 2 x 15 cab while I still have the energy to move it and I think I might use the Trace with it....

Still miss my old Marshall JCM 800 though....

Sorry i've got over excited an all trainspotter again.

You think you're all trainspotter, watch this: they've got his gear wrong. According to the text he's using a 4x10 and a 1x15, but the cabs in the photo are clearly different - judging by the TE website, they're actually the 1028H (2x10) and 1528 (2x15).

Good find, Jed. I wonder how different these sound to the old Alembic/Crown and SVT rigs.

I spotted that too, but was too carried away with the shiney shiney.

Having heard it at the lowry and the factory it sounds great, you'd need to do an A/B comparrison to see how different it is, and I should think the only person in a position to do that is Hooky himself.

I really need to get a decent amp sorted out, hopefully gigging soon, but only have a little practice amp! (it is an ashdown though, so better than my mates 300 watt berhinger!!!)

the best sounding rig he has used during my time working with him was a 1970s svt rig, with 8x10 we hired in Cincinnati, I wanted to steal it,   :love2: :thumb:
